Becoming Her Guide: 7 Daily Habits to Glow Up
IRINA LIKHACHEVAShare
Have you ever looked at yourself and thought, “One day, I’ll finally become better — look better, feel better, and finally have my life together”?
I know I have. I used to save hundreds of 'that girl' videos on TikTok, pins on Pinterest, promising myself I'd start 'tomorrow'. But 'tomorrow' felt overwhelming and never seemed to come. Until I realized the secret wasn't a massive life overhaul, but tiny, daily bricks.
This guide is filled with the core habits you need to start shaping your future.
7 Daily Habits to Step Into Your Best Self
What Does It Mean to “Become Her”?
So… who exactly is she?
She isn’t some perfect Instagram girl who wakes up at 5 a.m. with flawless skin and a pink headband — though she can be that too, if you want.
She isn’t someone else. She is your best self — the future version of you who’s more confident, more intentional, and more aligned with the life you dream of.
Becoming her doesn’t mean changing who you are. It means uncovering the version of you that’s already waiting inside, ready to shine.
1. Romanticize Your Morning Routine
Mornings really are magic. After a night’s rest, your body feels refreshed, your mind is clearer, and a whole new day is ahead of you. That’s why it’s so important to make your mornings intentional.
Start your morning with joy
You don’t need to wake up at 5 a.m. or force yourself into a routine that feels unnatural. Instead, wake up at a time that feels good, sip your coffee while listening to your favorite playlist, enjoy a nourishing breakfast, or watch a comfort show. Set the tone for a day you actually want to live.
What to avoid first thing in the morning:
- Scrolling on your phone immediately after waking up, it always steals more time than you think.
- Starting your day with arguments or self-criticism. Mornings should be about peace, not negativity.
- Heavy or junk food for breakfast, it will drain your energy instead of fueling you.
Remember: a good morning is one that leaves you energized and happy, not in need of another break.
2. Move Your Body Daily
Energy is the foundation for everything else you want to do. And the simplest way to get more of it? Movement.
Start small
You don’t need an intense workout routine from day one. Start with a 5-minute stretch, a short walk, or a quick pilates session. Progress slowly, and celebrate consistency over intensity.
I know it can feel overwhelming to figure out where to start when it comes to working out. That’s why I made a simple weekly workout routine you can follow, gentle, balanced, and perfect for glowing up without burnout.
Make it enjoyable
Play your favorite music while you exercise, or treat yourself to tea afterward. Movement should feel like a gift to your body, not a punishment. And don’t forget: rest days are important too - use them for stretching and recovery.
3. Nourish Yourself With Balance
Fueling your body matters. And no, you don’t need to follow a strict diet or give up all your favorite foods. Balance is key.
Keep a simple food journal
Write down what you eat and how you feel afterward. Over time, you’ll start to see patterns, which foods give you energy and which ones drain you.
Gentle nutrition tips
- Cut back on excess sugar
- Drink plenty of water
- Make fast food and soda rare treats, not daily staples
- Listen to your body and stop when you feel satisfied
Eating well isn’t about restriction. it’s about choosing foods that make you feel light, strong, and energized.
4. Plan With Intention
Habits stick better when your days have structure. Planning isn’t about control, it’s about creating space for the life you want.
Find a planner that fits you
Some people love bullet journals, others prefer digital planners. The key is to make your planning system personal. Each week, reflect on what worked and what didn’t, and refine your routine.
A plan on paper (or screen) frees your mind from chaos and turns abstract goals into actionable steps.
5. Curate Your Digital Space
Technology is part of our lives, but the way we use it makes all the difference. If you want to glow up, your digital world has to support you, not drain you.
Limit screen time
Try no-phone mornings or a one-hour break before bed. Replace scrolling with something nurturing: reading, journaling, sketching, or simply resting.
Choose content with intention
Look at your social media feed: does it inspire you, or drain you? Unfollow accounts that trigger negativity, and fill your digital space with
people, boards, and pages that align with the woman you’re becoming.
6. Invest in Your Skills
Glow-ups aren’t just about appearance — they’re about growth. Building your skills makes you feel confident, independent, and magnetic.
Start learning something you’ve always loved
Photography, design, languages, writing — pick one and give it at least 30 minutes a day. Don’t aim for perfection, just progress.
Fill the small moments with learning
- Listen to podcasts on your commute
- Read in waiting rooms
- Swap a few minutes of entertainment for something educational
Your future self will thank you for every small effort.
7. End Your Day With Gratitude & Reflection
The way you close your day is just as important as how you start it. Evenings are for slowing down, recharging, and showing yourself love.
Journal your day
Write about what happened, but also about how it made you feel. What did you learn? What are you proud of? What would you like to improve tomorrow? Sometimes it’s hard to know what exactly to write in your journal. That’s why I made a list of simple journal prompts to help you start reflecting on your day without overthinking.
Save it or print it out for your evening routine.

Practice gratitude
List three things you’re grateful for. They don’t have to be big — even small joys matter: a kind text, a warm cup of tea, a sunset. Gratitude shifts your perspective and helps you end your day on a positive note.
Your Path to Becoming Her
A true glow up isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about stepping into the best version of yourself and building a future where you shine.
Don’t wait for the “perfect” moment to start. Begin now. Pick 1–2 habits, stay consistent, and let progress build over time.
Remember:
- Consistency > perfection
- Compare yourself only to your past self, not to others
- Everyone’s pace is different, and that’s okay
Becoming her is a journey — and you’re already on your way. 🤍
